Description

This is probably my favorite page from the book; I especially like the detailed close-ups of the dog in the first and last panel and the Justice League # 1 cover homage (Kevin Maguire's cover) in the third panel.  This page is also the one where the dog accidentally swallows the minature Guy Gardner and sets up the gag at the end of the issue.

Fantastic sense of scale and that work on the fur is so good.

It's interesting that he's doing a Maguire homage in that third panel, but stylistically speaking, the art in that panel seems to be an hoimage to Bart Sears' work on JL Europe! Really nice stuff on the whole by the young McKone!

I absolutely agree about the Bart Sears homage; I'll be posting more pages from earlier in the issue soon and there is definitely a tip of the hat to Bart Sears on several of them.
