Ben Reilly investigates the Jackal’s old warehouse, finds Kaine in a cryostasis chamber, and gets attacked by the Ani-Men — human-animal hybrids working for the High Evolutionary. He’s transported to Wundagore where the High Evolutionary reveals the Jackal was once his assistant, explaining the connection between cloning and evolution. Ben returns to New York only to find Kaine has escaped — alive and on the loose.

Unprecedented with such a new character getting his own quarterly series! It's right smack dab in the clone saga and Ben was gaining popularity. This cover could be representative of it all with Kaine and Jackal's creatures on the loose!

I'm rereading the tales in the four omnibuses covering the clone saga and Ben Reilly's takeover, while lamenting the fact that their all these cool Scarlet Spider pages, but little original art out there. And then you drop this guy, lol. Awesome page, thanks for sharing.
