More Than Mortal Truth and Legends Cover Issue 1 variant C SDCC

I can’t believe I own a cover from this series. I loved it so much back in 1998 when it was coming out. I never could have imaged I would own an original. This is the Dan Norton cover C used and the SDCC exclusive. The cover features front and center Derdre, a nearly 18-year-old orphan living in a bleak Irish convent. Her ordinary, sheltered life is shattered by recurring, hyper-vivid nightmares where she sees a version of herself as a confident, mystical warrior clad in armor. In these dreams, she brutally slaughters enemies in a medieval landscape. Other main characters faces are also featured at the bottom as the series dives deeper into the characters and their stories. This particular cover gives me all the chills as it has a “Grimm Fairytale” vibe and as a child my dad would read me a bedtime story from the Grimm book. I always loved the opening pictures from these stories and this cover piece looks just like them. You can zoom in and see the little goblins climbing around the border. The detail is crazy and this page is so clean. In addition it’s signed by Steve Firchow, Sharon Scott and Mark Prudeaux
