Nice D&D piece! I dig the background art!!!
Look into the lines – you will see
What you D&D
Search your art, search for show
And when you find Thief there, you'll sketch no more
Don't tell me it's gold worth tryin' for
You all sheeny it's art worth dyin' for
Uko it's true:
Everything costume, I do it for you
Look into your art – you will find
There's nothin' there to hide
Take this acrobat, take my Di
I would get it all, I would sacrifice
Don't tell me it's not worth hundreds more
I can't help it, there's posin' I want more
Uko Smith's true:
Everything I do, I do it for you, oh, yeah
There's no love like lore love
And no cover could give more love
There's nowhere unless you'll care
All the time, all the games, yeah
Yup yup, you done got me singing it, Marcus, and thinkin' about RH Prince of Thieves. Gotta check that out again. Been awhile :)
Thanks, bud, and all, for the comments!
I really like the mix of colors in the skin tones. That's really nice. She isn't familiar to me at all, but there's still always something I can enjoy in the artistry.
K, your commission subject list should be stuff of legend; you have the -greatest- list of potential ideas, and I love how you just roll with the flow and work with the artist to organically arrive at what they'll be drawing... Who ever thought we'd get to see a Uko Smith Diana? So cool. Beautiful soft touch on the colors here; not only the gradients on her skin tones, but on that -KILLER- AD&D logo in the background (with the nice design touch, matching it to the colors of her staff)...! Uko obviously made their Dexterity roll with this one! Another keeper, K! Big congrats!
this is so great, great idea on these
Love the bright yellow (i think heh) colors weaved into the otherwise darker tone/pallette! sweet D&D themed commission.
You know what would be good is if you hitch kicked and then you kinda did that and then a barrel turn and then, Ha!
Not sure why, but it looks lie, the two color layers on her hair and bottoms are enhancing a fluffiness effect. Pretty amazing!
I agree - Uko doin' that rendering thing :)
I also love when looking at OA how we're "not sure why" but we still feel and see it. That's part of the magic of it all.
Thanks for the add, Eric!
