Anyway, I commissioned this from Diver Shin via instagram in 2024. I hate instagram for many many reasons, but it is a good tool to follow artists if looking to get art commissions (sometimes). From what I gathered when I put in the commission he had had a lot of difficulty with people with commissions and was very straight and to the point. Basically telling me I had to take the piece as is and can't object to it later on, which is not something I had ever come across. Getting something from an artist commission or sketch wise can be a bit of a gamble, but to complain about what you are given is not something I had considered doing. As far as Mai, I have never been a big fighting game player, but I was a fan of the Fatal Fury movie that I taped when they aired it on the Sci-Fi channel back in the late 90s. Fighting game characters generally from that era generally had great character designs; it didn't matter if it was from Fatal Fury, Street Fighter II or Mortal Kombat.
