The comic strip was an opportunity to have revolving casts and briefer storylines of a romantic nature. Barbara Cartland's Romances was a syndicated newspaper comic strip based on the bestselling romance novels of Barbara Cartland. Running from late 1980 to early 1983, it was written by Charlotte Weaver and illustrated by Gray Morrow.
