Steve Rude and Mike Royer, Captain America Dances with a Damsel (with Stan and Jack at the Bar?)

"Damsel" doesn't quite fit with this girl's street savvy, but Steve did just save her from an abusive and very large boyfriend. It looks like Jack and Stan may be watching the two dance. Interestingly, the panel with the suspected creators was cropped for publication and most of the bar patrons got cut out. Captain America: What Price Glory? # 1, page 12 (2003).

I've been wanting a Steve Rude page for some time. I passed over too many good ones thinking there'd always be more, so I grabbed this one when I saw it. It's also my first example from inker extraordinaire Mike Royer. His well-selected use of heavy blacks helps distinguish objects to avoid the feeling of clutter.
