Wendy Darling Sketch Card

This is the original marker illustration for the Wendy Darling trading card, created for the upcoming Peter Pan trading card set by Master Piece Cards.

The artwork beautifully reflects J.M. Barrie’s book description of Wendy as a practical, caring Victorian girl fulfilling her role as a mother figure to the Lost Boys. The piece was rendered using a high-contrast warm and cool marker palette. Strong, low-angle amber and orange tones simulate the direct glow of an underground hearth fire, enveloping her white cotton nightgown in brilliant illumination, while cool, deep blues and charcoal tones frame her in the surrounding darkness.
