Love John Pomeroy's legendary work. He animated many of our childhood favorites, including Princess Daphne from Dragon's Lair!

I shared with his wife some of my favorite characters and scenes he worked on, and we arrived at a few pieces together. This was my favorite scene from the Rescuers, so he recreated the scene for. He and his wife are also devout believers, and I look up to him as an artist and animator!

More on the Rescuers: This movie still holds up. It has a vibe that just doesn't feel achievable anymore. Something about seeing these cute characters stuck in a cove in Devil's Bayou with pirate skeletons, as water erupts out of a blowhole, threatening to drown them was too much as a child to watch. But in a strange way, it helped me face adult challenges and fears, since there were innocent and courageous characters along for the journey. Strange times...
