The Secret of Nimh remains my favorite Don Bluth film. Dare I say it is a greater work than Land Before Time and Dragon's Lair, and so many more. This was a deliciously dark and mysterious animation disguised as a child's story. I asked John to draw Mrs. Brisby beholding the power of the amulet, a scene that represents the unexpected turn around from despair to hope from power greater than ourselves.
