Congratulations on an incredible JB Alpha Flight masterpiece!  This is such a wonderful "feel good" image and it truly captures the essence of each character.  I know how much this one means to you and am very happy it now resides in your fabulous collection!

WOW, now that’s how you WIN CAF, Rick!!  One of the coolest pieces in the Byrne ALPHA FLIGHT catalog—must be pretty surreal replacing that poster with the real thing, biggest congrats!!!

SCATCHAMAGOWZA!!  Wow, Rick - this floored me, eh?  Yup - this was a poster that I proudly displayed for years as well (presently housed in a poster roll upstairs!) and it's one of those pieces of art that you can't really believe-exists-, y'know?  It just ~IS~ (and always has been).  It delights me to no end that the original is so enormous (which makes sense as it was being blown up to such huge dimensions) and the fact that I know it's in your collection assures I will sleep well at night, knowing in my heart of hearts that all is right and all is well in the art collecting world. :) Enormous, wall-powered congrats, Rick!  WOW!!

Absolutely spectacular piece!  Just look at all that beautiful vintage Byrne linework.  Great composition and design.  Love how he made the smallest character on the team the biggest on the poster.  One could understand why this might not make a very practical cover as there is no consideration for logo placement.  But as far as Alpha Flight pieces go, this just might be the single best team image I have ever seen.  Congrats buddy!  Wow!

I just can't help myself..Regarding your description,"one of those images that will forever be burned into my mind. I hope you got treatment for your Byrne burns! PS Paper is not a medically recommended treatment for burns, external or internal. PPS I have never seen this AF art before so thanks for sharing it. I read the comics at the time and never saw this.

Prime Byrne!  He was really enthused bringing the Canadian team to prominence!  The juxtaposition of Puck being the largest one is a clever bit of humor that makes it all the more memorable!

After 40 years it has just occurred to me that Puck, which is the name of the mischievous figure in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, is also a play on the Canadian nature of the Alpha Flight team, referring to a hockey puck,  Which is also small, hard and packs a big punch.
