Mystery Sketch - Verso (Expedition 33) by Jordan Gunderson

For the spring 2026 edition of Comic Art Live, I decided to do something a little different with my mystery sketches. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was a game that took up many hours of my life last year (and will again at some point when I finally get around to playing the DLC). It might be one of the best games I've every played, largely due to the fact that it destroyed me emotionally; not many games can live up to that claim. So to comemmerate my love of this game, I thought I'd pick up some mystery sketches of the characters.

My second selection was Verso who is drawn brilliantly here in stark black and white by Jordan Gunderson from the TDArt crew! Appropriate as Verso has black hair with a streak of white running through it. Gunderson is another artist that wasn't previously known to me, but this image perfectly captures the danger and mystery of the character.
