Okay, yes, this highly detailed action page features a really sweet half page splash of Cap in action beating up some Hydra pilots, but... that middle panel... Where else are you going to see freakin BATMAN punching the Red Skull in the face through a window?!? I also dig the technique of showing the Red Skull via a dissolved wall to see his reaction on the other side of the closed door.

And, is it just me, or is Byrne doing an homage to Batman's "One Punch" to Guy Gardner?

IF I have my story straight, this project sparked the idea for Byrne's DC Generations series.

This page is one of the best in the book... Cap and Batman now that's a special team up! CONGRATS!!!

Your story is straight! Specifically, it was the two page epilogue (which I used to own) that featured an older Bruce a civilian, and Dick now currently Batman that sparked the idea for Generations.
