Terrific page from the very first and one of the most significant Batman GN's in history; Batman Son of the Demon by the super-talented Jerry Bingham.
This opening scene (page 2) depicts a group of the tale's villain Qayin terrorists', as they are held up and dug in a Gotham warehouse, spewing threats and victimizing innocents, while Commissioner Gordon tries to keep the thugs pacified until their fate of Dark Knight justice, moving from shadow to shadow can position himself and pounce.
Penciled and then painstakingly inked with an old fashioned quill pen by Bingham, dip and ink, dip and ink etc., with absolutely exquisite skill and a mind-blowing attention to detail in the line-work. The time and effort it must have taken just to produce one of these pages is worth the price of admission.
Page is HUGE! Paper measuring 15" x 20" with image size of approx. 13" x 17" (twice-up artwork). In excellent condition on heavy illustration paper.
