Arion, Lord of Atlantis by Fred Hembeck (2026)

I think this one is made up. looks nothing like Aquaman.

This was DC's answer to Subby's black costume.  It also came with a new haircut and dye job.

LOL!  I'm not sure about the Beatles; in my mind's eye we are more of a Motley Crue!!  I call dibbs on their current guitarist John 5!!  These Hembeck cards make me Feelgood!

Motley Crue, eh?  Okay, I can roll with that.  Can I be the one that gets Pam Anderson (oh, but not the Poison guy).  LOL

Hmmm.... Rikki Sixx does have a nice ring to it.

What started as a joke now is crossing over into my own past with the Motley Crue references! I actually worked with Nikki Sixx for several years back when his radio show "Sixx Sense" was in National syndication, got to spend a bit of time with him here and there. And I got to build out a custom radio station program with a few of the band members when their Netflix biopic "The Dirt" was coming out. A feelgood story! ;)

Very cool, Arion was a welcomed back-up in The Warlord (just like OMAC!), and feeds my need for some of the forgotten favorites, congrats!

Soooooo good

While I admit to being exhausted by the entire plethora of single character Hembeck cards that have flooded the market in recent years, there ARE some exceptions which I enjoy, and those are the lower tier characters like Arion, Lord of Atlantis! Mainly because Fred hasn't done them to death, so they feel more original. Besides, 2nd and 3rd tier DC characters from the 80's are fun!
