Silk, Cassandra Cain, and Maps vs ICE

From his description, "Silk, Batgirl, Robin: three Asian-American superheroines fighting the fascist forces of ICE. I drew this in the spirit & visual echo of Captain America punching out Hxtler in early 1941." The details and action in this one are fantastic!

I'd had the idea bouncing around in my head for a long while because of the infinite fearscapes that a good amount of people are contending with. After I met Nate at OAX and learned about his body of work and general background, I knew he was the man for the job.

If you're not familiar with Nate Powell, he illustrated and lettered the "March" graphic novels about the civil rights movement with the late great John Lewis. He's also done a TON of other comics/graphic novels, the latest of which is "Diana", which comes out in October. Check it out!
