Description

One of only a handful of Timely covers known to exist. Twice-up cover artwork "possibly" pencilled by Vince Fago but I'm feeling less positive about this as time goes on. The lettering on the barbell is by Vince's brother Al Fago, who did work for Timely (mostly inking) through Vince, and was never actually on staff. I feel Vince likely layed the cover out (Vince agreed) and someone else, possibly Kin Platt, may have pencilled it and then perhaps Al Fago inked it.

The only Timely funny-animal cover known to exist.

The cover is presently signed by 2 stalwarts of Timely's funny-animal line, then editor-in-chief Vince Fago and staff artist Al Jaffe, co-creator of the Timely classic Ziffy Pig & Silly Seal, whose images are depicted on this cover.
