Description

The late Gill Fox was best known for Torchy and for collaborating on such strips as Hi and Lois. Jeanie was a short lived (Aug. 1951-Sept. 1952) filler strip that unaccountably never took off despite some nicely drawn women. I gather it was a career girl strip like Tillie the Toiler or Brenda Starr. Judging from what I've seen researching this, Jeanie spent a lot of time leaning or lying back and showing us the backs of her thighs. this strip is September 23, 1952, almost exactly half way through its run. Selma Diamond was the writer.
