Description

I've craved a Bob Layton commission for the longest time. His recent "special" gave me the spur I needed to commission at last the Common Elements concept that's had Bob's name next to it since I started the theme. And did he ever smack a home run with it!

Captain America and Booster Gold both wear stars on their chests, but that isn't their Common Element. (In fact, I didn't even notice that similarity until I was sending the reference scans to Bob!) The connection here is that both of these heroes are refugees from another time period -- Cap from the 1940s, Booster from the 25th century.

Nice. Lots of detail put into Cap. Just in time for Booster's ongoing book. Maybe DC will one day let him draw Booster.

Considering it's Bob Layton, I'm surprised you didn't cotton on to their other link; they've both used powered armour because their bodies were failing; Cap when his Supersoldier serum was actually harming him (And that armour was designed by Iron Man), and Booster following serious injuries fighting Overmaster!
