Description

This prelim JJ created for the cover to Fables 18 is absolutely pure lovely. The prelim was used as a jumping off point for the finished drawing. As JJ created the final drawing, he would modify the design as he pencilled. He would then scan the final artwork to further elaborate digitally with the addition of color, text and logo placement to build the cohesive finished design for publication.

This piece was published in the Fables Covers by James Jean hardcover.

Sometimes, only sometimes, I like to be called "Simon". Seriously, I thought about erasing the dedication, but I'm just too lazy and I'm really, really clumsy. I'm all thumbs, so I'm afraid I'd get over enthusiastic with the erasing and erase some of the artwork and that wouldn't be a good thing.
