Description

A couple of things about this page.

First, at the time I acquired it, both Barry (Flash) and Ralph (Elongated Man) were dead. Well as we all know, in the comics death doesn't seem to last much longer than a busted bone. And that was the case here. Although I was disappointed in the decision to have the characters gone, it was very "Silver Age" to let some characters move on and maybe be replaced. Then in 2010, DC made the choice to put Dan DiDio in charge and that was the beginning of the end for me. I just didn't care for his direction which included bringing Barry back. Honestly, at this point I don't know whether Ralph is in the current continuity or not.

Second. The penciller of this page is the LEGENDARY Carmine Infantino. Books could be written about everything Carmine did for the DC and the comic industry. Among them is ushering in the Silver Age with his rendition of FLASH in Showcase #4. After a while, he took a break from drawing and got into various management and oversight positions. (AND NOW FINALLY THE POINT OF ALL THIS). THIS PAGE marks his return to drawing the FLASH! Infantino "returned home". He drew FLASH from this issue in 1981 until its cancellation in October 1985.
