Cockrum was and shall ever remain a legend. Here is a rare glimpse at Dave's take on Batman. Like everything else he drew, this is magical. I apologize for the scan, whcih clearly does not do the drawing justice.

A fantastic piece (which I was actually hoping to buy on EBay at one point). Cockrum did some amazing work for DC in late 80's-early 90's, including a few issues of Batman. If you ever want to sell or trade it, please drop me a line...

Nice piece, makes you wonder how Dave would have stylized Batman's costume if he had had the chance. His Legion costumes are still some of the best ever done. Get a better scan! Nice work.

Cockrum's work was so fluid and natural and clean. There's a grace about his work. Look at Batman's cape flow! Perfect example.
