Description
Pencils by David Simons were completed September 2007. Inks by Joe Rubinstein were completed October 2007.

In amongst his many pencilling and inking jobs for Marvel in the 70s and 80s, Dave Simons was the finisher on the cover to Marvel Two in One # 68, starring the Thing and Angel (from the X-Men). Dave did a wonderful job revisiting this scenario. He worked quickly, was an excellent emailer, and is a heck of an artist.

Joe Rubinstein (also an original MTIO artist) did an outstanding job with his finishes.

Dave Simons passed away in June 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Rest in peace, Dave.

** UPDATE: This drawing was published in issue # 90 of Alter Ego magazine (December 2009), accompanying their obit for Dave Simons.

Who but Marvel Two-in-One 76 Guy could find a long-lost talent like Dave Simons and get a great commission like this from him. Yet another in an endless number of exceptionally cool pieces of art.
