DescriptionThis is from one of 8 tribute issues published in 2004 to honor the DC legacy of Julie Schwartz. This one featured Superman and was actually Stan Lee's first try at writing the Man of Steel. The stories inside were based on devices Julie Schwartz used to inspire his writers and artists with art by Darwyn Cooke, J. Bone and Keith Giffen. Adam Hughes based this art on the classic Nick Cardy cover from Superman #264 (story by Swan and Anderson) that was the first appearance of Steve Lombard and the Phantom Quarterback.Social/Sharing |
