Here's a rare George Papp Superboy page. Papp was the chief Superboy artist from 1958-1967, when they took the idea of Superboy as Superman as a boy seriously, placing his adventures firmly in the 1930's rather than in the present day, as DC did before 1958 and Smallville does today. Almost all DC pages of this vintage got shredded when DC was done with them. Papp never revisited his chief character in the Bronze Age. So, what escaped the Silver Age shredder, is all the art there is from the George Papp Superboy universe. I speculate this story survived because Lana Lang becomes Insect Queen, hence a lot of information about insects and possible use as some kid's school project. Papp also co-created Green Arrow was instrumental in shaping the early Legion of Super-Heroes, and designed Mon-El, etc.
This had what looks like an autograph on the back. I've nestled it here, next to the circular panel. It seems too elaborate and careful to be an editor's notation. I'd appreciate anyone enlightening me as to whether this matches other Papp signatures.
Superboy shows a strange fanaticism about his code against killing, committing vandalism to save insects.
