Grell, Mike - Dawnstar!

Okay, I thought I was done with buying Grell pieces - I had two very prime pinups of Jon Sable, lead from one of my top five favorite comic series ever, so what else could I possibly want from Grell? Considering I first *really* noticed comic art due to his first full issue on Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (issue #203, circa 1973 or so), it's pretty obvious I'd be a sucker for just about any Legionnaire in their 1970s vintage gear. This piece showed up on ebay in late November 2004 with a nice low price tag on it. Grell was, at a minimum, responsible for Dawnstar's visual creation (not sure if he created the character as a whole), so this piece was a natural for me to snatch up when the opportunity arose. Very, very happy to add this Dawny to my collection! Pencils on 11"x17" Bristol.
