Description
A few paste-ups and glue stains on this one but who cares? It has Angel, Sam and FRANKENSTEIN! The cover art was trimmed down. It looks like DC was reusing their mechanicals and trimming the art so that it could be slipped onto the previous month's paste-up. I added a reasonable facsimile of the trade dress to finish it off but I think you can see what's original and what's a stat.

Look how loose Oksner was with the three-fingered guy coming up through the trap door. For an artist who claimed he didn't enjoy drawing monsters it sure LOOKS like he was having fun.

Great cover from a great series. Oksner excelled at humor comics.

This is absolutely wonderful. I have fond memories of finding this and other DC comedy books in a cousin's comic pile. The DC stuff led me to Mad, the Abbott & Costello Meet the Universal Monsters stuff and even Woody Allen (he appeared in one of them and it had the routine about his pet ant which I later found on a comedy album).

Wow, beautiful piece and everything you would want in an Oksner cover--cute girl, beautiful linework, funny details. Fantastic!

Your Oksner collection is FANTASTIC. And this, I suppose, is the cream on top of the cream on top. :-)
