Description

TOGETHER AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 50 YEARS! The original logo from the first three issues of MAD magazine (#24 to 26 July-Nov. 1955) along with the border imagery used on those same three issues. Both of these elements, created by Harvey Kurtzman, were replaced with similar imagery when the magazine resumed with the 27th issue cover dated April 1956. The other text elements have been professionally reproduced, but these two elements include 100% of the original artwork from the cover of the very first MAD Magazine. As nearly everyone today knows, MAD Magazine was destined to become a great American institution, for decades selling millions of copies per month and teaching critical thinking skills to and otherwise positively influencing at least two full generations during our most formative years. Others may disagree, but to me no more important piece of MAD EC art has ever existed.

Have to agree, Jim, just about as MAD as MAD can be. Very iconic and important piece!
