Description

This is a textbook example of what a cartoon pin up should be. John S. Lucas, working off Katy creator Bill Woggon's pencils, demonstrates a master's eye for combining realistic features with the unreal to make a pin up girl who is perfect or near perfect for her kind. We start with a pose that is both innocent and naughty, supported by that wink and that snow bunny outfit. The legs are impossibly long, tapering down to impossibly small feet in high heels. The hair is perfect glamour girl. Notice that the curve of the eyelashes of the wink are exactly the opposite of what they would be in real life, but they match the curve of happy eyes, making her appear more fun-loving. What kind of fun she's thinking about might be Christmas or something even better.
