Description

Here's the real story behind this peice. WizardWorld Texas, 2004. Friday we tried to get there early so we could get tickets to see the events (especially Jim), they ran out before we got there. Saturday we got there earlier that Fri, but once again, no dice. Sun we were determined to get there early so we could see Jim Lee. We got to the building at 6 AM. We were the only ones there. About half an hour later, a few people started trickling in. I had decided that everyone was gonna ask him for a Bats or Supes sketch (my friends did) so I was gonna do somethin' different just to break up the monatony. When we got to the room, however, I was 3rd in line behind my friends. We were actually kinda famous for a little while and Jim asked us when we had gotten there and was taken aback when we said 6 AM. My turn came and I told him to sketch whatever he wanted (I didn't have any paper, so I grabbed a poster sized ad for Green Lantern: Rebirth and had him sketch on the back.). And he drew Robin. He was a really nice, cool guy.

That's the fucking way it is! Always doin his best to please and thank his fans for still being there!!! Check some sketches he did for me on my gallery!! Jim lee is a legend and one of the best in the industry, nobody can say other than that! And it's always a thrill to come back home with a sketch from him! Waiting has paid, Quincey! Good job!!!
