it is very tiny the original is less than half the size you see

Interesting, I remember the drawing from Ballentines (SFBC) book of the 1970's; Edgar Rice Burroughs: "Synthetic Men of Mars." It's curious how he changed the pose and position of the girl, Jan-el I believe, from this original sketch. Nice find!

Wonderful prelim! I like the pose here better than the finished piece. I'll second the request for a better scan/photo --- love to see this beauty in more detail
