Description
I have wanted to have Dave make a contribution to this theme for a long time. I had set it up a long time ago and then put it on hold for a while so I could take care of a few other things. I had been meaning to reignite discussions with Dave and Meredith when I saw Meredith at a convention recently. She immediately remembered me and asked me if the time was right. This gorgeous piece is the result.

After emailing back and forth with Dave over three possible directions this piece could take we mutually agreed on this one. Magneto with the Byrne/Austin era X-men: Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, and Nightcrawler on the wall. I love how it turned out. It is hard to believe that this is all done in pencil. Superb detail from top to bottom. Many thanks to Dave and Meredith for being two of the nicest, most professional, and courteous people I have worked with to date. I suggest everyone take a look at http://dfinchartist.com/ and see what they have been up to.

Spencer Beck of The Artist's Choice deserves the credit for setting this piece up initially, and for getting me together with Dave on it. Without him this is another piece that would simply not exist.

I was going to ask where his bald head is. I thought maybe Magneto would have his sitting right in his lap.
