DescriptionI got this sketch from Joe Rubinstein last October at the Minneapolis comic convention. If I remember correctly, Joe was a bit confused when I asked for a sketch of Superman on a Fallen Son (for Captain America) book, but I convinced him to do it anyway. I loved Joe's inks when he was working on the different Superman books. Anyway, I can't remember who suggested the tear in Superman's eye...I believe it was Mr. Rubinstein ( the heat in the building was horrible that weekend and it was affecting my diabetes). If I'm remembering it wrong, maybe he can correct me here.When I got back to my local comic shop, I had many positive comments on the cover sketch which I had placed on the wall for a few weeks. Great picture, enjoyed reading your description too :) I like the tear man, never seen Superman cry before! Real cool.
