A happy moment from a lighter time.

Remember when being Robin was a fairly happy thing to be? Sure there was tragedy in the past, but being Robin was about overcoming that and turning it into heroism, and not becoming obsessed with it the way their mentor did.

On the other hand, currently Robin seems to be a borderline basketcase lurching from one reason for chronic depression to the next.

This is from 1997, and shows that there was a time when Tim Drake was a relatively well balanced young man, with a circle of equally well balanced and happy friends.

After being worried about his friend Ives who was being secretive and showing bruises, Tim investigated, and eventually discovered the entirely innocent reason behind it. Ives had a part time job as Bomp'n'Stomp mascot "Ricky Rat" at a malls play-area and was just embarrassed about telling his friends, given the costume you can see why. (The bruises were because one of the little rugrats had pushed him off the slide.

So after hours Tim and Ives decide to have some fun in the Bomp Zone!

Staz Johnson beautifully captures a moment of carefree fun between two old friends.
