Description

When it comes to active artists working in the "good girl" genre, Dave Hoover ranks right up there with the best. Dave's Common Elements assignment represents a juxtaposition of psionically superpowered redheads: the X-Men's Jean Grey, aka Phoenix, and the Outsiders' Emily (Lia) Briggs, aka Looker. In addition to their similar tresses and powers, Jean and Lia share another commonality. Each underwent a sinister and dramatic change -- Jean became the world-destroying Dark Phoenix, while Lia became a vampire.

Thanks to Dave Hoover for a spectacular creation, to Bob Almond for his customarily splendiferous inks, and to Bob Shaw at Serendipity Art Sales for guiding this commission to completion.
