Description

It was quite a thrill to see Dave Cockrum and Chris Claremont collaborate once again in 1997, when Dave penciled a series of back-up stories in Chris' Sovereign Seven starring Rhian Douglas, aka Cascade. I'm glad I was finally able to acquire one of the pages Dave drew for S7. This one is especially nice, featuring a very sexy depiction of Cascade by Dave & Chris Ivy. It also has Superman himself, Clark Kent, hanging out with Rhian at her nightclub job. All that, and we get some poetic dialogue from Chris Claremont.

The page was already signed by Ivy when I purchased it. Claremont was kind enough to autograph it for me at a store signing, and he wrote a very nice personalization on it.

I love Dave's take on DC's big three, and your page is a very nice sample from his great '90's work. It's a shame DC didn't hire him to do some more work when they still had a chance. In any case, I'm sure you cherish this beautiful piece of art as much as I cherish my Cockrum piece. Congrats !

Cockrum's work on titles other than X-men does not get its fair share of press. This page has nice layouts, pencils and inks. Congratulations.
