Chris Stevens HELLBOY

So I meet this guy, Chris Stevens, at Heroes Con a couple of years back. Hes there as a fan and asked me to check out his portfolio. "Yaaawn....ok kid. Whatcha' got?" Imagine my surprise when I discover that this guy is a majorly talented penciler AND inker. The stuff he was doing with ink literally blew me away. World class. And his pencils werent far behind. I tell him he should be working for the big 2. He tells me hes not ready. Hows that for irony at a portfolio review? In the short time Ive known him he's grown far beyond the already brilliant ability he showed me then. And NOW....now hes decided to add marker work to his repertoire. After seeing his first real marker attempt on a recent THOR commission, once I cleaned out my pants, I promptly commissioned him to do a HELLBOY. And yes, this is him just playing around with markers. I havent seen marker work this good since Bruce Timm. Keep your eyes on this guy. The sky is the limit for him.
