Wolverine in the Woods Part 2

This is an 8 x 10 rough study of the body. As you can see I'm emphasizing light and shadow, having the source almost directly above his head. It can be moonlight or a spotlight at this point. Since I chose a wilderness shot - British Columbia, place of his birth - I settled on moonlight. The arc of the body, I should note, changed a little for the final shot. And this was done with blue pencil and HB. I liked the HB so much I chose to make it the only lead for this project.
