"This cover bears the honor of being the fastest painting I ever produced; 1 and 1/2 days! Nowadays, any opaque-style painting takes me one to three weeks to do. (Oh, I feel the migraines coming on...) Anyway, here's the reason for the speedy painting time; I had just gotten off a week-long painting workshop with my teacher Gregg Kreutz up in the wilds of northern Wisconsin, (the wildlife is just amazing), and apparently came back with all the 'right stuff' in my head. When I returned home, I quickly arranged a model shoot for this cover, (with Baron's ex, Crystal, and me being the models), and began blazing away. I didn't paint any faster than I usually do, I just knew how to do it faster. If my brain ever learns how to retain that 'right stuff' a bit longer, maybe I can do another one that fast!
