Holy smokes! I had totally forgotten about this gem. This is one of those covers I think most people would pay just to have a look at. Incredible.

In the few instances that Terry Austin inked Frank Miller, he managed to provide a very unique interpretation of Miller's pencils, that I think worked very well! I especially like the way this cover came out, something about the light and shadows mixed with the snowstorm, and characters Miller hardly ever worked on (Colossus?!? Maybe twice ever!!), that make this one really stand out. Not for sale...how about a donation to a needy friend? ;)

Great comment and I agree. The light and shadows are perfect and the snowstorm is the cherry on top. Stunning piece!

X-Men + Terry Austin already make that piece an incredible cover ! But I believe the penciller is also an ok guy... Huge Congrats for that Grail !!!

Miller's Rom covers are always a delight. Somebody should collect Rom in TPB's one of these days.

One of the many great things about the Rom series was the parade of incredible cover artists! Obviously, this is the pinnacle of such covers- GREAT story too!
