Description

This is the second picture of Katy Keene, Archie Comics' glamor girl by John S. Lucas, Katy's last regular artist and possibly greatest fan. This is a publicity still for the imaginary movie "Tropic Isle". Lucas submitted this for the 1980's Katy Keene series, hence the anachronistic swimsuit design credit. John's style is vastly more detailed than anything Archie does today, possibly because Archie makes most of its money in Digests the size of pocketbooks and such detail just gets lost in the shrinkage.
