Kamui Din

The manga series Kamui Den first appeared in 1964, the creation of Sanpei Shirato. Growing up as she did near San Francisco, Wendy discovered and was captivated by this series years before manga invaded and became hugely popular in the US. She made this pencil drawing of the title character a year or so before embarking on ElfQuest, and it presages her stylistic approach to the main character Cutter.
