Description

This one was kinda special. Got to talk to Matt for quite a while at the show in Phoenix in January 2008, and got to compliment him on his story in the Batman Black & White series. He agreed with my assessment that it seemed like an experiment in using zip-a-tone, and he told me he basically used every remaining scrap he had to complete that 8 pager. It's a great little story, both visually and as a read. So to make my Batman sketch special for me, he sat there with a silver marker and, dot by dot, produced a zip-a-tone effect! I thought that was terrific, and it shows what a great guy Matt is. He does sketches in all HC books, but this was above and beyond. Thanks Matt!
