Description

Can't see it on the scan, but there are two nearly-microscopic pencil dots on the bottom of the page. When I asked for Ant-Man, John paused, tapped his pencil to the paper, and said, "There ya go. Want an ant?" and tapped out a second dot.

I'm not a big fan of the character, but I always love seeing Byrne's take on him. It's a wonderful drawing. Congratulations!!

Thanks! The sketch is from Miamicon April 1982. That year, the con had the dealers room in the downstairs ballroom, and the artists were put in a hotel room upstairs. The took out the beds, set up a couple of folding tables and chairs, and packed us in. Guests at that show were John Byrne, Bob McLeod, Mike Zeck, Don Martin, John Beatty, and a surprise visit by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez. Yes, ALL in the one hotel room.
