"Duel of the Superboys" Cover Re-creation by Ernie Chan after Curt Swan for Super-Con 2009

I love my Ernie Chan commissions....he always seems to surprise me, pleasantly....I just love what I get with each commission from Ernie....his vibrant colors, textures are easily recognized. Here I wanted to re-create a silver age Superboy cover, this one is #119 (shown here) that has two Superboys dueling it out. This was the perfect opportunity to cover the newest rivals in DC comics history: Conner Kent vs Superboy Prime !!! This is Round Two...I love the colors of the Superboy logo as well at the background for each Superboy--one has hints of Blackest Night (yes thatis Scar with his book!) and the other of the Future ala Legion of 3 Worlds (Future Crisis)...the thought balloons were kept the same....This was a wonderful cover recreation that was so much Fun and I wanted to celebrate the return of Superboy (in whatever form) to the DC Universe !!!
