Whenever there is a run I enjoy, I typically get examples from all the artists involved, either published pages and/or sketches.
Kevin O'Neill worked on Alan Moore's Supreme and his sections were great, a strong commentary on genre's through the ages, and of course the 80's version of Supreme was called "Grim 80's Supreme".
Unfortunately O'Neill basically doesn't sell his art (yes, I know about LoeG being sold) and I don't see him at cons.
Enter my friend in the UK who got me this at a store signing. Apparently the conversation went like this (I'm paraphrasing, for humour and I wasn't there):
Fan - "Could you please sketch Grim 80's Supreme?"
O'Neill - "Who?"
Fan - "this guy (shows printout of reference I emailed)"
O'Neill - "Why would someone want a sketch of that!"
Fan - "I have no idea, Malvin is a freak"
O'Neill - "What a freak!"
LOL! I love this sketch, I thought I would never get a Supreme from O'Neill! Big Thanks to all who helped!
