Description

Painted for the cover of "Ars Magica" by Judith Tarr, published in 1989 by Spectra/Bantam. Approx size 25 x 39".

It appears in "Illustrators 32" published by the US Society of Illustrators in 1990, and was awarded a "certificate of merit" prize in their 32nd Annual Exhibition in 1990.

This is the only Parkinson painting to win a mainstream art award.

Included in "The Art of Keith Parkinson" published by the Friedlander Publishing Group in 1994, and "KnightsBridge: The Art of Keith Parkinson" published by the Friedlander Publishing Group in 1996.

Included in the "Keith Parkinson Colossal Cards" trading cards produced by the Friedlander Publishing Group in 1996.

Later used as the cover for the Swedish language RPG game module "Religioner - gudarnas kamp", published by NeoGames in 1999.
