This is a daily strip probably for the Seeing Stars series - whcih had some really incredible ink work.
Look for a hearst newspape for 12/16/39 nd yo ushould find it
Seein Stars is indeed a King Feature and it would probably be from that series. I didn't think about searching in newspapers, but I have seen plenty of Seein' Stars clipping on ebay. Thanks!
The ywere also reprinted in comic books as the dailies's dimensions matched a comic book page but this looks like it was done first for the newspapers
