So awesome! Such a great sense of lighting...
I would love seeing more McCaig artwork! I have my copy of Shadowline and the creation of the Phantom Menace book, but I can't seem to get enough. Beautiful work and lucky you!
I'll just echo the many sentiments already expressed - - WOW. And that coloring (usually not something I approve of on a published piece) is incredible!
Was this story published? Do you have all pages??? Congratulations!
Sweet lighting. I still have to read the Rohmer stories....
So unusual for a Superman piece. He's not typically this brutal, but I can dig it!
This cover makes me want to grab that book. Bummer he's not the interior artist (maybe). I'm not familiar with the artist credited for the interior.
Could be the best cover of the 80's.... love the pointalism.
A nice little ray of life into the Superman mythos. I am so happy that DC put this team together for Action Comics.
The garbage monster is so awesome. I'd have grabbed the whole sequence if you hadn't gotten this one first!
His work in the pulps is terrific. Such a bold line and less general pen play than his Colliers work.
I love how many people were fooled by this. Even with all the FLAT inks! lol "Please Rush" was a nail in the coffin....
...but but but, those are her 80's colors!!!
I saw some great Hetrick art on ebay years ago that was fantastic. This is too.
Really great page, and I LOVE Biukovic's pages. He was "slow" on inking and only was able to do that for the first issue. Dark Horse brought the incredible talent of Eric Shanower to ink 2-6.
"You will kill Luke Skywalker!" Nice.
It's so unlike other Chiodo paintings I've seen. He really bases this one in reality rather than his typical anime-eye's toonish females. Nice!
Absolutely LOVE that Maxima Super Powers mock-up! She would have been a great add to the "fourth wave". ;)
How did I miss this?!! EPIC! Maybe SW will be good again if Disney lets go.
This collection of Underpass that you have posted is beautiful. Redondo is incredible. I wish I could read it!
I would not say that this is "typical" Gruger work (from what I've seen). This one is a stand-out!
THIS is more like it. You have tremendous talent. Do more "reinterpretations" rather than direct recreations.
Terrific! This is such an epic DC story and possibly the first time I saw Quitely's work. Nostalgia overload!!
