For the first time ever, anywhere, I'm offering some of the original art from my 1990s comic series Tyrant for sale.

The art I'll be selling are spot illustrations from the back pages -- no narrative pages, as work begins on a hoped-for collected edition and I'll be needing every page at hand in that venture -- but it's still a rare opportunity for Tyrant fans.

This gem is a brush-pen-and-ink Oviraptor portrait, drawn for the "Gizzard" footnote pages of S.R. Bissette's Tyrant� #1 (see page 31 of that comic). The Oviraptor was the then-very-much-in-the-popular-press Asian theropod that prompted me to investigate and 'cast' its North American relative, Chirostenotes, as Tyrant's nominal co-star 'eggsucker.'

This crisp dinosaur drawing is on a 5 1/2" x 5" piece of pristine 3-play Bristol Board. It's in perfect condition, absolutely no yellowing or staining of the paper -- clean, white board, still as sharp as the day I applied the ink.
